Speaking is a Sport: Train with Us.

Who We Are

We train professionals across industries and experience levels to communicate with clarity, structure, and control when it matters most.

OUR APPROACH

GK Training was built on a simple idea: communication is a physical activity that you can train.

We use a kinesthetic approach: You don’t just learn concepts, you practice them through structured drills designed to change how you speak.

You repeat, adjust, and build control under pressure. That is how skills become reliable.

Our coaches come from performance backgrounds and have worked with executives, attorneys, and leaders across industries. The method is practical, repeatable, and designed for real-world use.

Whether you are leading a team, presenting to stakeholders, or preparing for a critical conversation, the goal is the same: say what you mean, be understood, and stay in control.

train how you speak

This is how communication is trained, not taught.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve been told to “speak up” or “be more confident” or “just be yourself.” How is this different?

You're not alone. Many of our clients come to us after hearing vague advice like "project more" or "be more assertive," usually modeled after someone else's style. That approach often feels unnatural and (spoiler alert) it rarely works.

Our methodology is different. We use a kinesthetic approach: instead of telling you to be more confident, we train the specific physical and vocal mechanics that create presence, grounded in your own voice rather than someone else's. You leave with techniques that align with how you actually think, lead, and connect in the interactions that matter most.

How much time should I expect to invest weekly?

It depends on the program. Executive Presence Mastery runs 12 weeks with eight private coaching sessions, spaced out so you have time to apply what you learn to real meetings and presentations between them. Work with a Coach is even more flexible: you set the pace and book sessions around your schedule.

Outside of sessions, the work is organized around short, targeted practice sessions rather than hours of study. Think athletic practice instead of taking a course. Most clients spend less time than they expect, because the practice is built into moments they're already in: a meeting, a call, a pitch.

Will this actually improve how I perform in high-stakes situations?

Yes. Every session is built around your actual meetings, presentations, and negotiations, not hypothetical scenarios. Our drills are grounded in behavioral science and designed to change how you perform under pressure specifically, not just how you feel about it in a low-stakes practice room.

We've coached more than 40,000 professionals over 15+ years, including leaders at 3 of the top 8 global financial firms, 45 of the AmLaw 100, three presidential candidates, and top pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and sports organizations. Clients have used what they learned with us to close deals, win promotions, and change decisions in the room, not just deliver a better-sounding talk.

Is this personalized, or just a generic course?

Fully personalized. Executive Presence Mastery is one-on-one, built around your specific goals, schedule, and the moments where your presence matters most.
It starts with a baseline assessment and builds from there. With Work with a Coach, you choose your coach and set your own pace.

Nothing about the program is off-the-shelf. Even our online courses and the Vault community exist to support the individual work you're doing with your coach.

I’ve already done public speaking training. How is this different?

Most communication training stays in theory. You leave your session or program or workshop with notes, a few tips, and good intentions that disappear the moment the pressure is on. GK Training is kinesthetic: we train how you speak through structured, repeatable physical drills. That's the difference between being taught and being trained.

You also don't stop practicing when the session ends. Between sessions you get tools like our Question Roulette app and lifetime access to GK's online courses, so the skills keep compounding instead of fading a few weeks after a workshop.

What are the next steps?

Book a free 30-minute Executive Presence Assessment with one of our coaches. We'll assess your communication style, identify your key growth areas, and give you tailored feedback, with no obligation.

From there, we'll walk you through whether private coaching or Executive Presence Mastery is the right fit, and match you with a coach.
