Shawn is a Senior Executive Coach with GK Training. He helps top professionals in asset management, law, pharmaceuticals, accounting, insurance and advertising develop their skills in both written and oral communication. He brings over twenty years of experience as a creative professional—performing, writing, editing, and teaching—to his coaching practice, which he’s developed over the better part of a decade. Recent individual coaching clients include: the CEO of an asset management firm with $280B AUM, the president of a top-five economic consulting firm, a VP-level finance professional at a global top-five unicorn start-up, a US-based economist preparing to serve as an expert witness
during a case in Asia, and the General Counsel and COO of a top-50 family office.

Shawn also coaches PhD candidates at Columbia Business School for their job market talks; his students have secured positions at MIT Sloan, Princeton, London School of Economics, Stanford GSB, London Business School, Imperial College, University of Hong Kong, and CKGSB, among others. As a writer and editor, Shawn has worked in magazines (Departures, Food & Wine, Real Simple) and book publishing (Scholastic, Penguin).

An accomplished stage actor, his work has been seen in New York and across the country.

In addition to individual coaching and leading group
training programs, Shawn also serves as the Business Operations Manager for GK Training, helping to ensure that the firm’s internal processes and protocols—across program management, content development, IT, human resources, and daily operations—run smoothly. Shawn was a DuPont Scholar at the University of Delaware, where he earned an Honors degree in English and Theatre, and he holds an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business & Technology. Shawn also serves as the company’s Content Director, helping to build customized training programs and deliverables for a wide range of clients, as well as overseeing GK’s online footprint.

As a writer and editor, he has worked in magazines (Departures, Food & Wine, Real Simple) and book publishing (Scholastic, Penguin), as well as developing original material for the theatre (Here, 45 Bleecker, Connelly Theatre, 3LD). An accomplished stage actor, his work has been seen in New York and across the country (twenty-three states and counting). Shawn has a degree in English and Theatre from the University of Delaware Honors Program, and is currently enrolled in the Quantic School’s Executive MBA program.
