My Presidential Debate Analysis that's Surprisingly Not About Politics

Hi Everyone,
I haven’t shared a Good Talk in a while because: 1) instead of writing Good Talks, I’ve been writing a book (check that out HERE if you like); and 2) I’ve been busy in politics again.
Speaking of politics…(shudder), if you’re interested in a before-and-after assessment of how last night’s presidential debate went, watch these two clips from interviews I did with WGN yesterday and today.
As a preview (so you know it’s safe to click), my analysis sticks almost exclusively to Delivery (How you say it, rather than What) and therefore hopefully can provide some insight into the candidates’ performances without activating the seismic fault lines in America’s current political environment.
Disclaimer: I like to use politics as a lens to examine communication because political debates are high-stakes scenarios that are widely viewed and analyzed. But if you prefer to have innocuous, non-triggering content in your inbox, this is a lesson on how to make a pie crust!
