His coaching blends two decades of writing, editing, teaching, and performance with nearly ten years of experience supporting professionals at the highest levels. Recent clients include the CEO of an asset management firm with $280B AUM, the president of a top-five economic consulting firm, and the General Counsel and COO of a top-50 family office.
At Columbia Business School, Shawn coaches PhD candidates preparing for the global academic job market. His students have gone on to faculty positions at institutions including MIT Sloan, Princeton, Stanford GSB, and the London School of Economics. His approach is personal, tailored, and grounded in real-world practice — whether working one-on-one or with teams across sectors. He also leads custom training programs and develops content for GK’s full portfolio of clients.
Beyond coaching, Shawn serves as GK’s Content Director and Business Operations Manager, helping build programs and systems that reflect the firm’s commitment to rigor, clarity, and relevance. His background in publishing includes editorial work with Scholastic, Penguin, Departures, and Food & Wine. As a stage actor and playwright, he’s performed in New York and across 23 U.S. states. He holds an Honors degree in English and Theatre from the University of Delaware and an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business & Technology.
